Kohl Stick

Kohl is an eye paint prominent in ancient Egypt, with a long-standing tradition of use by queens and noblewomen. Eventually, the custom bled into the lower classes, becoming a commonly-used cosmetic. It wouldn’t be a stretch to draw a connection between the application of Kohl and the image of Aphrodite. Kohl is still widely used today; though studies have shown it to be moderately harmful to skin, it's a staple of many cultures. Bone would have been easy to come by, making the stick craftable in the household itself and, thus, replaceable.
